Fully Alive Community Health is a licensed mobile clinic and 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving communities across greater Los Angeles. We bring medical, dental, vision, behavioral health, and preventive screening services together in neighborhoods where people might otherwise delay or go without care.
Our year-round presence does more than make healthcare accessible. It builds the trusted relationships, community partnerships, and volunteer network that allow us to respond quickly when disaster strikes and remain alongside communities through long-term recovery.
Care is always free to the patient. No one is billed, asked for insurance, or required to provide documentation to receive care. Our funding partners make this possible—helping us pair highly trained healthcare professionals with the equipment, medications, supplies, and resources needed to provide excellent, whole-person care.

When the fires came, the clinic showed up
Following the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires, Fully Alive Community Health deployed two mobile medical units at the edge of the burn zone, launched pop-up clinics at community based organizations, and kept them running for five months. The deployment was led by Dr. Evelyn Wong, M.D., FACEP, the organization’s Executive Director and Medical Director, a board-certified emergency medicine physician with 28 years of experience in Southern California.

In 2025, Fully Alive Community Health treated 1,066 patients in Altadena and Pacific Palisades, providing medical, dental, optical, mental health, and wellness services. That was most of the organization’s year. When Los Angeles County needed a clinic in the burn zone, this is where the capacity went.
Most organizations write a check after a disaster. Fully Alive Community Health parks a licensed clinic and pop-up clinics at the edge of it and stays. That capacity exists because it is registered with CAL VOAD and ENLA, because it owns and maintains the units, and because 1,451 volunteer clinicians can be called on.

When disaster strikes, this keeps Fully Alive Community Health ready to respond with a fully equipped mobile clinic and trained volunteers. It funds standby capacity and sustained operations in the days and weeks after a crisis, the same response delivered after the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires.

One hundred people in underserved communities receive life-changing diagnostic tests in a single visit to the mobile clinic. Screenings catch diabetes, kidney disease, high cholesterol, and infectious disease early, when treatment works best.
Stock the pharmacy

A prescription only helps if the patient can fill it. This stocks the clinic pharmacy so patients take medication home the same day, from antibiotics and blood pressure medication to diabetes supplies and pain relief. $2,500 covers roughly 75 to 100 patients. $5,000 covers one full clinic day, up to 150 patients. $10,000 keeps the pharmacy stocked across multiple clinic events and replenishes high-demand medications.
Restore a smile

Restorative dental care using lasting, name-brand materials rather than the temporary, lower-cost materials many clinics rely on. That means tooth-colored, mercury-free restorations, plus Silver Diamine Fluoride, which can stop deep cavities without drilling or injections. Because many patients cannot return for a second visit, the team delivers the highest standard of care in a single appointment.

A comprehensive eye exam, digital retinal screening, and quality prescription glasses in one clinic visit. Patients leave with branded frames in hand, no weeks-long wait and no second appointment. Early detection of eye disease and restored sight help children learn, adults work, and families move forward.

Bringing healthcare to people is an investment with measurable returns
Mobile healthcare removes barriers by bringing care directly into neighborhoods—reaching people who may otherwise delay or go without needed services. The value of this model extends well beyond the care provided on the day of a clinic.
According to Mobile Health Map at Harvard Medical School, mobile clinics across the U.S. return approximately $18 for every $1 invested, generating an estimated $1.5 billion in value to the healthcare system each year through earlier intervention, improved access to care, and reductions in avoidable emergency department use.
Fully Alive Community Health’s impact is even stronger. Our 2025 Mobile Health Map analysis estimates a return of $24 for every $1 invested—approximately 33% higher than the national benchmark. In 2025 alone, our services generated an estimated $9.4 million in health and economic value, helped avoid 149 emergency department visits, and contributed to an estimated 132 life-years saved.

Supply is not the same as delivery. Donated medicine still has to get to a parking lot in Los Angeles with a licensed clinician standing next to it. Funding partners are what turns the supply into care that reaches a person. That is the gap this page is asking you to fill.

Fully Alive Community Health is the operating name of Medical Mission Adventures, which rebranded in 2026. The legal entity, the EIN (04-3661520), and the tax status did not change. Grants and gifts may be made to either name.
A mobile clinic can carry a higher cost per visit than a high-volume brick and mortar clinic, but cost per visit is the wrong measure. Fully Alive Community Health reaches people in Los Angeles who would otherwise receive no care at all. Bringing medical, dental, vision, and mental health services into underserved neighborhoods and disaster-affected communities removes access barriers, catches health problems earlier, prevents costlier emergency and hospital care, and builds the trust that keeps patients coming back. The return is measured in earlier treatment, lower downstream cost, and healthier communities.
